If I didn't have to spend hours searching Google and YouTube for solutions to my ideas.
If only I could customize Excel so that I no longer have to do tedious manual work.
If only statistics could be generated automatically.
When formulas suddenly work.
If emails were sorted automatically.
If only my inbox were finally empty.
If I had less work.
If I could become faster overall.
Wenn ich….
Those were my thoughts, which I had had for a very long time. My goal had always been to simplify procedures and processes and become more efficient so that I could concentrate more on what I enjoyed and what was more important to me.
No point of contact
Unfortunately, however, there was no place where I could go to find inspiration, quickly find instructions, get proper explanations on how to set up a formula so that it works, or simply learn about automation options that would save me a lot of work in my everyday office life.
I had to painstakingly gather these things myself, learn them myself, build them up myself, over many hours, days, and weeks. Hours that I would have preferred to spend differently, had it not been for the motivation and knowledge that the time I invested would also save me a lot. Especially work that I didn't like because it was unnecessary, complicated, and time-consuming. That alone would be worth its weight in gold.
My experience
My experience has shown me that I am not alone in this. Many people feel the same way. Perhaps you do too?
My advantage was that I am very technically minded and enjoy setting up automation systems.
And I have learned, improved, and automated a great deal over more than 10 years. Whether statistics, summaries, or work tools, everything was set up in such a way that I only had a minimal amount of work to do and enjoyed working with it.
